Privacy

What we collect, and what we don’t

NRIReturn has no accounts, no sign-up forms and no advertising. We use analytics to see which pages and tools are useful. We do not sell data or share it for advertising.

On www.nrireturn.in

  • Google Analytics 4 records pages viewed, links clicked, approximate location (country/city from your IP address), device and browser. It sets cookies to recognise repeat visits.
  • Microsoft Clarity records how pages are used (clicks, scrolling and anonymised session replays) so we can fix confusing layouts. It sets cookies. By default it masks sensitive text such as form inputs.
  • Both run only on the live site, never on test copies.
  • Our host, Vercel, keeps standard server logs (such as IP address and the page requested) for security and reliability.

In the school-commute simulator

  • The simulator sets no cookies and does not load Microsoft Clarity.
  • It sends anonymous usage events to Google Analytics, such as “a ride started in Whitefield” or “a ride was shared”, with Google’s consent mode set so that no analytics cookies are stored.
  • Those events never include where you live, the place a ride starts from, or the part of the web address after the # sign (where a shared ride’s starting point is kept).
  • Anything you enter in the simulator, and small preferences, stay in your browser’s local storage and are never sent to us. Clearing site data removes them.

Links to other sites

Guides and the tools hub link to schools, banks and service providers. Their own privacy policies apply once you leave NRIReturn. Some outbound links carry a tag (e.g. utm_source=nrireturn) so they can see the visit came from us.

Your choices

  • Block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the site works without them.
  • Opt out of Google Analytics across sites with Google’s browser add-on.
